DISEASE CONTROL APPLICATIONS FOR LAWNS

Our qualified lawn care technicians know through their experience that during certain times of the growing season turf disease activity may become prevalent. This is from a coalescence of factors including, but not limited to humidity, rainfall amounts, and temperatures. Site specific characteristics such as soil compaction or over-watering may also contribute to disease development.

Turf diseases usually start as a small discoloration of the single grass blade; sometimes red, yellow, brown, or white. This is the fungal fruiting body of the actual disease penetrating leaf tissue and feeding off the nutrients and water.  There are many different types of lawn diseases including but not limited to

  • Red thread
  • Dollar Spot
  • Leaf spot
  • Blight
  • Fusarium Blight-  Frog Eyes
  • Fairy Rings
  • Slime Mold
  • Powdery mildew
  • Rust
  • Pink or Grey Snow Mold

Our Disease Control Program is designed to bring a lawn to the next level.  Applications are done as a preventative measure and timed when weather patterns are favorable for disease or fungus activity. Our technicians know the process of proper diagnosis and how to rule out factors that may or may not be contributing to turf discoloration.  After a detailed inspection we can tell you if a disease control program is right for your lawn.

  • Program includes monthly applications starting in May
  • Material rotation to prevent disease resistance to products
  • Incorporation of micronutrients like Iron or Potassium to amend the soil
